Autumn is in the air
What I love about fall
Though the bright sunny days of summer might be coming to an end, we have a lot to look forward as we approach autumn in the PNW! Whether it’s piping hot coffee to warm our hands, or the excitement brought on by football season, we don’t have to wallow in the loss of summer. I say bring on the Hunter boots, scrumptious comfort meals, relaxing rainy days, and the transition into back-to-school!
Only in the fall
One thing I look forward to in the fall is the onslaught of seasonal drinks that begin to appear at the store. Perhaps a pumpkin ale appears at my local grocer. I can always count on the arrival of the infamous fall-inspired drinks at Starbucks. One of my faves is the Peppermint Mocha – what a tasty treat on a cool day! I plan to build a crackling fire in my backyard, pull up a chair and indulge in a beverage of choice. Fall is fun for kids too, with pumpkin patches and corn mazes, the little ones have much to look forward to as we transition!
Seattleites are prepping for Hawks Season in full-force. Blue hair, and jerseys to show our pride are just a few ways we get excited to watch the Hawks take on their opponents. Slow-cooker chili, snacks to go around, and maybe an ale or two, shared with friends, is my idea of the perfect Sunday. This year I am particularly enthused about showing my spirit as I will be adding blue and green lashes to my lash enhancements! I think I have as much fun hosting football parties, and showing my team spirit, as I do watch the game. Either way, most of us are happy to say goodbye to summer so we can say hello to our favorite football team.
Relax & Rewind
As the kids head back to school, it’s time to reflect on your goals for the upcoming year. Spoil yourself a bit. In this part of the country, we tend to over-book ourselves in the summer to take in every last bit of sunshine that we can. As we transition to fall, it is all about spa days, indulging in some much-needed down-time and getting caught up. This is the perfect time to indulge in a mani/pedis, try lash extensions for the first time, or simply soak in the bath while taking in a good read.
